Now for the serious lash extension aftercare stuff… If you want your lashes to stay on for the maximum amount of time, you must must must follow our aftercare advice to the letter.

  • Do not let your eyes get wet for 24 hours after application. This means no showers, face-washing, sweating or crying!
  • Avoid swimming pools, saunas and steam rooms for 48 hours after application.
  • Do not use any oil-based products near to the eyes at all while wearing lash extensions. Oil will loosen the bonding of the extensions. This includes oil-based cleansers and eye make-up removers, and any other moisturising creams, wipes, lotions and sunscreens which contain oils. Care must be taken to apply any type of eye cream/products near to the eye. All products must be used sparingly, avoiding the lash line area.
  • Specific oil-free eye make-up remover MUST be used at all times when wearing extensions. This can be purchased from nkd if you don’t already have some at home.
  • We recommend that you apply oil-free eye make-up remover with your fingertips before rinsing off and gently patting dry with a  towel.
  • After 24 hours, lashes can be rinsed with warm water and patted dry. Cotton wool should not be used on lash extensions.
  • Do not use an eyelash curler on your lash extensions.
  • Be gentle with your lashes. Avoid touching, rubbing and pulling your eyelashes.
  • Waterproof mascara must not be used, nor must any other type of oil-based mascara. Only specially-formulated mascara for lash extensions can be worn. This can be purchased from nkd. (Please note that most regular mascaras are not recommended as they will dissolve the bond with the lashes).
  • If wearing oil-free mascara, apply to the tips only and do not use more than twice a week.
  • Lashes can be gently combed through.

Apart from strip lashes, all other lashes should be professionally removed in-salon. Picking at your lashes, or attempting to remove them at home is likely to cause some of  your natural lashes to fall out.

What our clients say

  • Yasmine K14th October 2019

I got a lash lift done at the NKD waxing in Notts and I love how they turned out! Nicole was so friendly and professional and I'm definitely going to be back again 😀 I also love that they let you book appointments online so you don't have to wait to make a call to book in. 10/10 thank you!

  • Mariliis K25th October 2019

  • Zoe E31st October 2019

The service has always been excellent, Nicole is a wonderful therapist and I have always been very pleased with her work. The staff are very knowledgeable, and friendly.

  • Abbie OC9th November 2019

Kerby was really friendly & took a lot of time & care whilst doing my treatments. In the past people have rushed & I've found there's things that aren't quite right but I was really happy with how everything turned out that she did! I'm also quite shy with new people & she made me feel at easy, which is always nice!

  • Megan Cornhill12th November 2019

Everyone pays incredible attention to each client, everyone remembers you and makes the effort to make you comfortable and welcome even before and after treatment! During training so much support was given to those learning whilst not forgetting the needs of the client! All round a wonderful place with a wonderful group of people.
