Earlier on in 2015, one lucky lady, called Catherine, won a year’s worth of treatments at nkd, after she entered our Christmas 2014 advent calendar competition. Cat turned out to be an existing nkd customer, but one who lives some 200 miles away from our Nottingham salon, in West Sussex!
We were intrigued to find out more about Catherine and what makes her regularly carry out her 400-mile round trip to get her wax with us, so we asked her the following questions:
What do you particularly like about nkd?
I like the friendly ‘local’ feeling of an independent salon, the type of wax used and its convenient location in the centre of Nottingham.
Why do you travel all the way from West Sussex instead of getting a wax closer to home?
I moved away from Nottingham in 2012 but still come back to see my boyfriend and friends. At nkd I really liked the friendly service that puts you at ease and the quality products used. I was obviously spoilt because despite trying a number of places near my new home I didn’t receive the same positive and professional service as at nkd.
The biggest benefit is that all the waxes I’ve had have been precise without being slow and you feel confident the therapists know their stuff because they deal specially with just waxing, lashes and brows, rather than having to multitask with a whole lot of other beauty treatments.
The only annoying thing is trying to get back to Nottingham quick enough for the 10% discount – fancy opening one on the South Coast?!
