What To Expect From Your Hollywood Wax
At nkd, our priority is to comfortably and efficiently remove every single hair from
your intimate areas in the quickest and most fuss-free manner possible.
Here’s what to expect on the day of your appointment:
- After introducing herself and inviting you to your comfortable and private treatment room, your therapist will leave you to remove all clothing below your waist (yes, including your knickers - your therapist needs a clear workspace to do her job)! She will also leave you with some intimate wipes to freshen up the area and a towel to protect your modesty.
- Your therapist will make sure you feel comfortable and at ease as you lay down on your back on the treatment couch. She will use only the highest-quality products to ensure the best possible results from your wax and will continually chat to you about what she’s doing and why so you’re never taken by surprise! Starting at the front, the therapist will then wax all the way down, underneath and around the back. At times, she will help you position your legs in a certain way so that she can reach all the hair, and may ask you to stretch your skin at times to keep it taut while she waxes.
- We always try to avoid having to flip you over on all fours when removing the hair from around the back. Instead, your therapist will ask you to draw your knees into your chest for a short time, or to lie on your side.
- In certain instances (e.g. you’re pregnant, you have mobility issues or we can’t reach all of the hair for other reasons), we may ask you to turn over so that we can be sure of succeeding in our mission of leaving you totally hairless and smooth.
- As with all waxes, once the therapist is finished, she’ll double-check the area before asking you to check to make sure you’re completely happy with it too. She will then finish off the treatment by applying some luxurious cooling and soothing products.
- Throughout your wax, your therapist will chat to you about the aftercare products you can use at home and when to book in for your next appointment to achieve the best possible results, in terms of staying as smooth and hair-free for as long as possible in between every appointment.
