What to Expect from Your nkd Bespoke Brow Treatment
Here’s what to expect on the day of your appointment:
- After introducing herself and inviting you to take a seat within one of our Lash and Brow stations, your brow therapist will carry out a thorough consultation to understand what you are striving to achieve
- Unlike other eyebrow treatments that use a ‘one colour fits all’ technique, this will involve your Brow stylist assessing your face shape and colouring before starting work on creating a bespoke mixed colour tailored exclusively for you.
- While your treatment takes place, your therapist will talk to you about a treatment plan for your brows. Just as you can’t expect an amazing body after one session at the gym, nor can most clients expect to achieve amazing brows after a single appointment! For example, if your brows have been overplucked in the past, or are sparse, a course of Brow appointments over several months may be required to achieve the results you’re looking for.
- Your therapist will speak to you about aftercare products you can use at home (for example brow regrowth products if these are relevant to you) so you can ensure that your brows continue to look impeccable for weeks after your treatment.
- Finally, your therapist will explain exactly when she thinks you should book in for your next appointment so that she can continue to work with you to achieve the best possible results for your brows.
Important Information
- Cancellation Policy and Late Changes: We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice (and more time if possible) to cancel or change your appointment. If you cancel or change your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if you fail to show up for your appointment, your appointment will be charged for in full, using the card details we hold on file for you. Unless we’re able to fill your slot with another client, no refunds will be issued and no free-of-charge appointment reschedules will be made.
- Late Arrivals: Any late arrivals may be offered a reduced treatment time or turned away altogether, depending on your time of arrival. No refunds will be issued in this instance. If you’re a first-time client, we politely ask that you arrive 5 – 10 minutes before your appointment time to fill out a consultation card. If you’re an existing clients, please try and arrive at least 3 – 5 minutes before your appointment time to ensure a prompt start.
- Patch Tests: Certain lash & brow treatments require a patch test a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Patch tests do not have to be pre-booked and can be carried out at any time during the salons’ opening times.
- Regrowth: Please ensure that you have the necessary hair regrowth for all waxing treatments. We recommend that you do not wax, shave or remove the hair in any other way for a minimum of 3 weeks before your waxing appointment (4 – 6 weeks if possible) to get the best results. In the event of insufficient regrowth, we will carry out the treatment to the best of our abilities. This will mean that any hair that is too short to be waxed will not be removed on this occasion.

Yes, you need a patch test at least 48 hours before your first Bespoke Brow appointment with nkd. Even if you have had patch tests or Brow treatments carried out at other salons in the past, we will still need to perform a patch test prior to your first treatment with us.
Patch tests are valid for 6 months at nkd, so if it’s longer than that since you had your last brow appointment, or a patch test with us, we will need to repatch test you ahead of your appointment.
You do not need to book a patch test in advance, you can simply turn up during our opening hours.
We can only work with what you have – not what you have already removed! So the longer you resist the urge to touch, fiddle with, or pluck/tweeze your brows ahead of your nkd appointment, the better the results from your brow appointment are likely to be. Remember that we can’t add hair back in, so if you turn up with heavily-plucked/over-plucked brows, there will be very little we can do on that particular appointment, apart from recommend the very best brow conditioners and regrowth products on the market, the best brow make-up which can give you the appearance of fuller, thicker-looking brows, and the best treatment plan for you.
Please note that it can take months (and in some dramatic cases, years) to achieve fulsome brows, especially if you have overplucked in the past. This is why we recommend that you view any brow treatment/desired brow result as a journey, which we would love to work with you on. With our expertise and specialism, and your dedication and commitment, the end result will be worth it!
Please do not come to your appointment wearing heavy make-up. We will have to remove any make-up applied if it’s where we are waxing or threading which will eat into your appointment time, Minimal/no foundation and no brow make-up is best for such days!
Make sure you are not wearing fake tan on your face/have not applied any fake tan to your face in the last week if you are having a tint as part of your appointment. Fake tan can react with tint to turn the skin green – and none of us want that as the end result!
Please try and arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. We are a busy salon with back-to-back appointments. For any clients who do arrive late, we may be able to carry out part of the original treatment (depending on how late you are), or you will need to book – and pay for – a new appointment time. In both scenarios, the original booked appointment will still be charged in full. Remember that a lot of brow/facial waxing and threading appointments are quick by their nature, so even turning up 5 minutes late could prevent your treatment from being carried out.
Please also remember that we have a strict 24-hour appointment change and cancellation policy. Any appointments that are cancelled or changed with less than 24’ hours’ notice, and all no-show appointments, will be charged in full, using the card details we hold on file for you. Thank you for your understanding.
