I THINK FOR L&B TREATMENTS, THE WAX VIRGIN SECTION SHOULD BE TURNED INTO A MINI B&A GALLERY (SPECIFIC TO EACH TREATMENT) SO THESE ARE AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE. (We also need to have something about a patch test fairly high up/prominently on the page?
What to Expect from Your Henna Brow Treatment
Here’s what to expect on the day of your appointment:
- After introducing herself and inviting you to take a seat within one of our Lash and Brow stations, your brow therapist will carry out a thorough consultation to understand what you are striving to achieve
- Unlike other eyebrow treatments that use a ‘one colour fits all’ technique, this will involve your Henna Brow stylist assessing your face shape and colouring before starting work on creating a bespoke mixed colour tailored exclusively for you.
- While your treatment takes place, your therapist will talk to you about a treatment plan for your brows. Just as you can’t expect an amazing body after one session at the gym, nor can most clients expect to achieve amazing brows after a single appointment! For example, if your brows have been overplucked in the past, or are sparse, a course of HD Brow appointments over several months may be required to achieve the results you’re looking for.
- Your therapist will speak to you about aftercare products you can use at home (for example brow regrowth products if these are relevant to you) so you can ensure that your brows continue to look impeccable for weeks after your Henna Brow treatment
- Finally, your therapist will explain exactly when she thinks you should book in for your next appointment so that she can continue to work with you to achieve the best possible results for your brows.
Important Information
- Cancellation Policy and Late Changes: We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice (and more time if possible) to cancel or change your appointment. If you cancel or change your appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice, or if you fail to show up for your appointment, your appointment will be charged for in full, using the card details we hold on file for you. Unless we’re able to fill your slot with another client, no refunds will be issued and no free-of-charge appointment reschedules will be made.
- Late Arrivals: Any late arrivals may be offered a reduced treatment time or turned away altogether, depending on your time of arrival. No refunds will be issued in this instance. If you’re a first-time client, we politely ask that you arrive 5 – 10 minutes before your appointment time to fill out a consultation card. If you’re an existing clients, please try and arrive at least 3 – 5 minutes before your appointment time to ensure a prompt start.
- Patch Tests: Certain lash & brow treatments require a patch test a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Patch tests do not have to be pre-booked and can be carried out at any time during the salons’ opening times.
- Regrowth: Please ensure that you have the necessary hair regrowth for all waxing treatments. We recommend that you do not wax, shave or remove the hair in any other way for a minimum of 3 weeks before your waxing appointment (4 – 6 weeks if possible) to get the best results. In the event of insufficient regrowth, we will carry out the treatment to the best of our abilities. This will mean that any hair that is too short to be waxed will not be removed on this occasion.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation on these matters. Thank you.

Whereas traditional eyebrow tint (as used in our conventional eyebrow shapes and tints and HD Brows) only stains your brow hair, henna stains the skin underneath and around your brow hair, as well as the brow hair itself. This makes henna more effective than conventional tint.
Henna makes your brows look fuller and deeper and covers any sparse areas. Like our other brow treatments, when used alongside a brow reshape (usually involving waxing and plucking), the finished effect is beautifully-defined brows. A Henna Brow can look different from a traditionally-tinted brow because it gives a more powder-like and matte effect.
The results of Henna Brows last for 2 – 4 weeks. To put it bluntly, the less you wash/clean the brow area of your face and the more gently you do it, the longer the results of the treatment will last. This means don’t exfoliate too much and don’t use harsh products around your brows. Other factors are also at play here – those with a drier skin type will probably enjoy the results for longer than those with an oiler complexion. The henna will gradually fade as your skin cells renew.
Yes, you need a patch test at least 48 hours before your first Henna Brow appointment with nkd. Even if you have had patch tests or Henna Brow treatments carried out at other salons in the past, we will still need to perform a patch test prior to your first Henna Brow treatment with us.
Patch tests are valid for 6 months at nkd, so if it’s longer than that since you had your last Henna Brow appointment, or an Henna Brow patch test with us, we will need to repatch test you ahead of your appointment.
You do not need to book a patch test in advance, you can simply turn up during our opening hours.
Absolutely, yes! Derived from the Hina [Henna] tree, Henna is a natural, entirely-plant based dye which has been used cosmetically for thousands of years in the Middle East, India, Pakistan and Africa. This makes it perfect for anyone with sensitive skin (and as an added benefit is vegan)
