We’re thrilled over here at nkd ( ) to see the Nottingham Post Women in Business Awards recognise our very own Angela as the Rising Star she really is.
As nkd ( ) Nottingham’s Salon Manager for the last 18 months, Angela has recently been promoted to Area Manager to oversee our expansion to other key East Midlands’ cities (first stop – Leicester!). Angela does an incredible job at both roles, and the list of duties she oversees during her working day would make most other people feel exhausted just looking at it. This is just one of the many reasons why we’re confident that Angela will make it all the way to the finals in the upcoming Women in Business Awards.
Angela has introduced so many fabulous initiatives to nkd and has, without doubt, made the company a better place to work. Her endless energy and enthusiam levels know no bounds and her very presence inspires and motivates all those around her. As she explained to the Nottingham Post: “We’ve invested heavily in staff retention and satisfaction. The core of the business and the reason we’ve been able to keep customers is because they can see our staff are happy. When customers come through the door they get a smile and the therapists are happy in their roles. I’ve brought a strong HR aspect to the business, such as one-to-one development, lifting the consistency in their training and improving the structure for staff progression.”
Good luck from all of your colleagues at nkd Angela -we’ll be rooting for you all the way!
Angela has been nominated in two categories in this year’s Nottingham Post Women in Business Awards. These are Rising Star and Female Executive of the Year. The competition, run in conjunction with Nottingham Trent University, will culminate in an awards ceremony on Thursday, November 16, when the winners of all categories will be announced.
