An HD Brow appointment typically lasts  for 30 – 40 minutes in contrast to a basic  eyebrow wax or thread appointment (which are designed to give you a quick tidy up) which will takes around 10 minutes. So an HD Brows treatment is  much more detailed, and comprehensive and can be built on over time. Methods such as face-mapping will be used to create and measure your HD Brow shape, whereas a standard brow reshape will be measured by eye.

Unlike basic brow tidy up appointments, HD Brows also involves the use of make-up products at the end of your treatment, which will serve the dual purpose of masking any redness caused by waxing or threading, as well as using colour either to fill in where your natural brows may be patchy or to really help define your brow shape.

If your brows are already in great shape, than an HD Brow appointment may not be necessary, and a different type of brow appointment may be better for you . If you’re unsure about whether to book in for a normal brow reshape or HD Brows, please speak to one of our expert, friendly team before booking.

Firstly, we’d strongly recommend that you give us something to work with! By this, we mean that you should grow your brows back in for as long as possible before your treatment, ideally a minimum of 4 weeks to get the best results. If you have less regrowth, you will be limiting the results we can achieve.

You should also have a think beforehand about what kind of brows you would ultimately like to achieve. For example, would you ideally like thick, thin or tapered brows? Do you have an ideal shape in mind, such as arched, flat or curvy? And what overall look would you like for your brows? Dramatic, glamourous or natural? If you can show your therapist some images of the kind of brows you’re hoping for, then this would really help.

Remember that HD Brows is ultimately designed as course of treatments, not a one-off appointment. You can’t go into a salon with sparse, overplucked and underconditioned brows and expect to leave, less than an hour later, looking like Cara Delavigne!. The best brow results will always be achieved over time, which requires commitment and dedication from you, as well as us!  Brow make-up can usually be used in the meantime to achieve your desired look while other aftercare products can help with the condition and density of your brows.

For the absolute best results, your therapist will tell you not to fiddle with your brows inbetween your HD Brow appointments and to leave the job of reshaping and tidying to the experts! Ideally, this means no plucking or any other attempts reshaping or tidying until you see us next.

No, HD Brows is a semi-permanent treatment, whose results will last for 3 – 6 weeks. Over that time, your brow hair will grow back and the tint will fade. Remember also that brow make-up will be used as part of the treatment, which you can purchase if you want to replicate the look at home.

Yes, you need a patch test at least 48 hours before your first HD Brow appointment with nkd. Even if you have had patch tests or HD Brow treatments carried out at other salons in the past, we will still need to perform a patch test prior to your first HD Brow treatment with us.

Patch tests are valid for 6 months at nkd, so if it’s longer than that since you had your last HD Brow appointment, or an HD Brow patch test with us, we will need to repatch test you ahead of your appointment.

You do not need to book a patch test in advance, you can simply turn up during our opening hours.
